How do I gather some new experiences in South Korea?

During my excursion to Seoul, I made some important phone calls using numbers provided by a Bangladeshi-Korean organizer at the Inchon training camp.

At around 6:30 pm, I arrived in Seoul. After leaving the station, I took a taxi and used navigation to reach my destination: a sanctuary for foreigners that provided free food and accommodation. I received a warm welcome from Sajad Ahmed Khan, a Pakistani-Korean citizen. He is a kind man who helped me with the paperwork, after which I went to the living space allocated to me.

The next day, I sent about 30,000 taka to my home. This was my first remittance from Korea, although not the first in my life, as I had previously worked in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. I reported to the Korean employment court to find a job but couldn’t secure a good offer initially. After a week, Mr. Kim, a staff member from the sanctuary, called me and instructed me to go to Yeosu city. He gave me a paper with details from the employment court about the employer in Yeosu. I arrived in Yeosu around 7:00 pm, where my employer picked me up from the bus terminal. The next morning, the employer’s wife, referred to as Samonim, came to my room to ask about breakfast.

A conflict arose with Samonim over breakfast because I am a vegetarian, which irritated her, as Korean people generally have no food restrictions. Up until 2018, I observed many Koreans eating dog meat, which I found disturbing. In many languages, including Korean, one of the worst insults translates to "son/daughter of a bitch," emphasizing the negative perception of dogs. Despite this, dog meat was still consumed. As a Muslim, I was not obligated to eat Korean food, but the incident with Samonim led her to take me to a church later that day.

I lived there for more than two weeks, feeling bored and without money for cigarettes. Although I received free food from the sanctuary according to my needs, I resorted to picking up discarded cigarette butts from the street for smoking.
